Sanéqui Senior.jpgSanéqui SENIOR

A palatable, complete muesli for horses with insufficient chewing capacity, like the aging horse.

The aging horse is increasingly difficult to keep in a good condition. In most cases this is caused by the deterioration of teeth and molars. Also diseases (ie. worm infections) or husbandry (ie. sand accumulation in the intestines, dominant horses in the group) can be a cause of emaciation. Providing a specific diet is the best way to keep these horse healthy and in a good condition.

The ingredients of Sanéqui Senior are highly digestible even when they are poorly chewed. This feed contains all necessary nutrients, in optimal amounts for the aging horse.

You can feed Sanéqui Senior dry, or as a mash. Give the horse in addition fine, soft hay and/or grass, as long as the animal is able to sufficiently eat these products.

When the horse can not even chew hay anymore (it falls as "roles" or "balls" back in the feed bin), Sanéqui Senior can also be used as solitary feed. When you feed Sanéqui Senior without forage, it is of great importance to keep the horse in a way it will not be bored and, by lack of forage, developes stereotypies. The specific husbandry situation and the individual horse determine whether a ration without forage is still possible with a sufficient level of welfare.
